What sits among the most requested features where console versions of Overwatch are concerned is the drastic need for a report function for the game.
The fact that Blizzard still hasn’t implemented what’s viewed as such an important feature has proved a source of massive frustration for many Overwatch console players, and understandably so. After all, its difficult to see how the shooter can move forward as far as weeding out the players that are cheating or purposely throwing matches if there is no function to report it.
A perfect example of this has surfaced on Reddit, posted by user Gonions. The post states:
I have video evidence of a thrower in competitive on PS4, but absolutely nothing can be done about it because there is no report function on console.
The post continues to vent frustration at how the console version has fallen by the wayside in issues such as this. What’s rightfully pointed out is that its a complete gamble a lot of the time when it comes to competitive play, since either team could have a “thrower” on it and potentially cost either team the match.
Hopefully this is something that Blizzard will introduce as soon as possible. Its hard to believe that a feature such as this hasn’t already been implemented, given that there’s competitive play available in the first place. Ultimately, it can feel like a game of roulette without being able to report those who attempt to throw games, or showcase other forms of unsportsmanlike behavior.
