Overwatch – Latest Patch Notes

symmetra-overwatch-wallpaper-girl-by_sirusdarkThe new patch for Overwatch is live and even though it isn’t too big we will run it down just for you. We had the pleasure to receive detailed information about the new patch from Lylirra, the community manager, but we will be short, sharp and as always, simple.

As we said earlier, this patch is quite small and it comes only on PC. For other platforms, such as PS4 and Xbox One these changes will end up in some larger ones. Is this a good or a bad decision? You be the judge of that. But, in the meantime, let’s see what we got here.

The main focus was around “Avoid This Player” system. It seems, that this feature is removed from the game. The problem was that it was used in a wrong way. Every game has one of these systems that are invented to help make a better matchmaking experience, but as always, if it depends solely on the players it will go sideways. We can say that “Avoid This Player” in Overwatch was that type of system.

Additionally, there were some smaller bug fixes, especially the one that enabled Reaper to Shadow Step on some strange locations on the maps and the one where Reinhardt got hit even though his barrier was up. Moreover, the reported client crash issues were taken care of.
