Let’s be honest here, ok? No matter what a video game company does, there will always be haters. There are those who don’t care about the truth or the obvious facts that are in front of them, but rather would spew nonsense and lies just to serve some very weird agenda that nobody understands or believes in other than the poster. In short, a troll. Now, for games like Overwatch, there are a lot of trolls. Some people complain about every patch, every fix, every new character, etc. But some take it a bit too far.
How so? Well, if you chime in and decide to question whether Blizzard actually plays the games they’e releasing, then you’re a troll. It’s a well known fact that Blizzard plays their games daily, even hourly in some cases, because that’s part of what being a video game developer is all about. And you know they’ve done it because Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and their other titles that are currently out are not only good, but they’ve sold. And yet, some people can’t help but troll Blizzard, asking the question, “Does Blizzard Even Play Their Own Game?”
Battle.net user SharkyMarky did indeed ask that, but in a sign of unity, every single player who responded to that question backed up Blizzard. They noted how they do play the game, and even quoting Jeff Kaplan (director of Overwatch) for how much he plays the game.
Speaking of Jeff Kaplan, he too got in on this, and laid the smackdown on the troll:
“We play the game a lot. Looking at your profile, I’ve won approximately 800 more games than you have. That’s not counting the daily internal playtests I am in, the time I spent in Alpha and Beta.”
Seriously, let this be a lesson, when trying to challenge one of the biggest and most popular video game developers out there. Don’t ask stupid questions.
