Overwatch Competitive Play Is Live

0_0_820_1_70_-News-Competitive_PlayFinally, the Overwatch Competitive Play is live and kickin’. Blizzard did everything right and the competitive mode came out as promised. For those who are still not up to date, and we are sure there aren’t a lot of you, this whole month was about Overwatch and its Competitive Play mode.

Overwatch developing team and Jeff Kaplan always had us informed about the progress of the game and we would like to thank them for that. Additionally, some of us had the chance to try out Competitive Play on the official PTR, but there is always that special feeling when something goes live.

Unfortunately, and Blizzard is quite straight forward about it, the Competitive Play won’t go out on all platforms at the same time. All players that have the PC version of the game will be able to play it, but Playstation 4 and Xbox One players will have to wait for a bit. Blizzard said that those players can expect the mode live sometime next week.

Additionally, the first season of the game will be short and it will last only 2 months since the plan was to sync world seasons to the game seasons, and summer has already begun. As they like to say, “a minor side-effect of our real-time season system”.

All in all, we can’t wait to start our journey to the top of the leaderboard and to earn as many golden weapons as possible.
