If you have been away from Gears of War 4 for a while, now might well be the right time to fire up your lancer and head back into the game. Gears 4 recently celebrated its first anniversary, and to celebrate the occasion, The Coalition is bringing a number of cool gifts for players to enjoy.
Finishing today, there will be 4x XP boost, which began yesterday and will end at 10am PDT. Today will also mark the day in which you can get your hands on Golden Gear and Golden Gear weapon skins, which will then run again for a short time on October 20th. Meanwhile, Gary Carmine is being gifted as a free player, and can be unlocked permanently next time you play.
If you missed out on the 4x XP event, then be sure to be on-hand for the Double XP event, which will be taking place on October 16th. This will also mark the date in which the Golden Gun will disappear, so make sure to take advantage whilst you still can. If a free weapon skin also takes your fancy, then you’ll be able to pick a commemorative one up in game this weekend.
The Coalition has big plans for the rest of the year, which is emphasized in the following statement from them:
“We have plenty more to look forward to over the coming months. This October, we’ll be focusing on celebrating how you made this year special on our Facebook and Twitter accounts, and we’ll provide new opportunities to add some swag to your collection with some swagtastic giveaways.”
So if you have had some time away from Gears of War 4, now is the time for you to jump back into the game and make the most of all of the events that are on offer.
