The Nintendo Switch has been impressing many people since launch. True, there have been a few issues that are rather serious, including the Joy-Con sensitivity, the scratching issues, and the recent warping issues, but overall, it’s been a very positive experience. However, because of that, some fans are wondering what could make it even better. One request is the Virtual Console to return as soon as possible, but another request may surprise you: getting an internet browser.

This comes from Nintendo Switch and Reddit User CommonGarterSnake, who states that he feels the Nintendo Switch would be much better off with an Internet browser than some of Nintendo’s past systems.

” I mean when have you ever used the web browser on your 3DS? I opened it up once out of curiosity and haven’t touched it since,” he notes.

He acknowledges that the things Nintendo did put on the Switch are nice, and the interface is very crisp. But he feels that because of the mobility of the console, and the ability to use it as basically a tablet (minus touch screen capabilities), and to have the Joy-Cons able to mess with it from a decent distance, it would be a perfect tool to have apps and the browser on.

He then turned it over to the community to see what they thought. There were some that were more than happy to agree that the Nintendo Switch should have a browser that’s accessible right now. Mimicking the notion that it’s basically a tablet, and should act like one.

However, others weren’t so sure, some prefer it to be “nothing more than a gaming machine.”

“For once I’d love to see a gaming device just focus on one thing. Gaming,” said FunkMunky.

What do you think? Should the Switch have a browser? Or is it good as is? Let us know in the comments below!

I am a writer, reader, dreamer, and believer that games and cartoons and comics aren't a bad way to live. I am passionate about what I love, but do respect the opinions of others when they conflict with my own. But if you don't like Nintendo, you're going down! lol

It needs a browser, and a full app store like google and apple have.
Nintendo permanetly stays below it’s possibilities.
