Starting at 10am EST, a Nintendo Direct broadcast is set to show fans what to expect for the rest of the year. It has been confirmed however, that it will solely focus on the handheld 3DS console as opposed to any news on the upcoming release of the Nintendo NX.
So what should fans expect then if its exclusively based on 3DS titles? Given the announcement back in July that Animal Crossing: A New Leaf would be getting an update this fall, there will surely be some mention of additional details regarding what’s to come for the four year old game. Hints have been made by Nintendo that non-Animal Crossing themed furniture could make an appearance in the game, as well as more information on figures and cards allowing players to visit a new campsite.
The live stream should also focus on upcoming 3DS releases, including the highly anticipated Pokémon Sun and Moon. The first party game Mario Party Star Rush will also release this November, which will bring a whole host of new Amiibo figures such as Wario, Waluigi, Boo, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Daisy and Rosalina. September will also see the release of third party titles such as Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice, plus new titles in the YoKai Watch and Shin Megami Tensai series.
