Every boy had a dream where they were a king, right? It’s one of those desires that we all have when we’re still little boys building our own castle in the sand. Well, in Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, we follow a young boy, a young king called Evan, as he goes on a dangerous quest to find himself a new kingdom. Finding new kingdoms isn’t exactly easy, but with the help of his new friends, he can achieve his dream and also save his people from something sinister and terrifying.
For an anime JRPG, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom really has some impressive graphics, from the characters that really look like they’re from a high-quality anime, to the animations and special effects that are absolutely gorgeous. Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has lots of bright colors, which is pretty standard for most JRPGs, but they blend in perfectly with the sunny environments that we could see in the trailer, making the whole look of the game warm and enjoyable.
But let’s get back to our protagonist, the young king Evan. Unfortunately, he was overthrown in a coup, so now, with his kingdom lost, he has to try to find a new kingdom. That won’t be an easy task, but it’s his only hope to unite his world against a powerful, dark foe.
Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom will launch on January 19th, 2018, but you can pre-purchase the game right now, and if you do you will get a special weapons pack.
