When it comes to Riot Games, the developers of the mega-popular League of Legends, they get asked a lot of questions. In fact, they get asked a lot of the same questions, repeatedly, and even more repeatedly. They try and do their best by doing Q&A sessions, but the fact is that it’s hard to track them, and new players might not have known that the burning questions they have may have already been answered. Thankfully, Riot Games has made a solution for this, and as they note on their newest Q&A, they have made an “Ask Riot Archive”, which will show all previously answered questions.
But, they know that sometimes you just need to answer them again, so, they picked a few of their most popular ones and reanswered them for those who didn’t know the answers before.
For example, why doesn’t Riot Games allow voice chat in League of Legends matches? Especially since the community is so vast and literally spans the globe. Well, for them, there’s the potential for it to be very negative, something that makes many players in all genres turn off voice chat capability if they’re given the chance, as they don’t want to get yelled at by someone they don’t know. However, they have admitted that they are looking to try and make it work now. There are some things they know they have to do before trying it, but they’re more open than they once more.
Or, how about a League of Legends movie? Or a series of cinematic episodes? The Riot Games team is literally chomping at the bit to do this, however, they’re wise enough to look at the state of video game movies, and know that rushing into such a thing would be disastrous. But…they’re working on it none the less in many different aspects to see what works best.
Have a question for Riot Games? Don’t be afraid to shoot it their way, you never know, they may answer you.
