Nintendo recently announced that a Nintendo 3DS port of the popular Wii U title, Super Mario Maker was in the works. Nintendo Japan recently uploaded a new trailer, showcasing more footage of the game.
Super Mario Maker is a level designing tool, as well as a game. Players are able to design their own levels, upload them to the internet, and play them freely. Though the 3DS port centers far more around local wireless level sharing, it would seem.
Here’s a look at the trailer below.
Players will be able to use most of the power-ups and obstacles that were available in the original Wii U version of the game.
There will also be many more Nintendo developed levels pre-loaded onto the game at launch. Players will be able to view some of the unique power-ups on both Mario and his enemies alike.
One example provided in the footage here, is the use of a pair of wings to provide flight to Bowser. This is essentially done in order to provide the most upsetting challenge that creative minds of the Nintendo community can conjure.
Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS will launch on December 2nd, 2016 exclusively for Nintendo 3DS.
