For MMORPGs, updates to games can be more than just bug fixes. Often times they are ways to introduce smaller bunches of content without having to do a full expansion. It can be a new area that opens up, a series of quests, a new boss fight – it’s pretty open-ended. As long as it provides good and meaningful content for the player to partake in. For the game known as Rift, it’s next big update called Celestial Storm is officially dated for July 19th.

As for what it brings, it honestly brings a lot to Rift. For example, it’s bringing players the chance to go to Vostigar Peaks, which is a new overland zone with new questlines and other places to explore. There’s also going to be a Tartaric Depths Normal Mode, some new Raid Rifts, a new Instant Adventure, all-new creatures to see, four new Primalist Souls, which will be free to anyone who owns the Primalist Calling already. This pack contains the Mystic, Farseer, Predator, and Primal Lord souls.

Plus, the celestial lands will be yours to explore for FREE with this update via the Prophecy of Ahnket content. That’s right, just go into the game and you’ll be able to get into these lands free of charge.

This content is deep and rich in story, you’ll be fighting off celestial beings who have been warring for some time, each of them wanting to claim victory over the others. Does destruction await? Or will you find a path that will lead all to a better place?

The team will be doing more blogs and livestreams to better detail the upcoming update, so stay tuned for more news on that. Are you excited for this content update? If so, what are you looking forward to the most? Let us know in the comments below!
