MapleStory is an MMORPG that is likely held near and dear in the hearts of many gamers dating back several years. Finally, a sequel to the classic title, simply titled MapleStory 2, is on the way, and with that come trailers! One particular trailer takes a CG approach, showing a cinematic combat scenario. Check it out!

While MapleStory 2 has already been released in Korea, plans to bring it to other regions are likely in order. In the meantime, enjoy this awesome cinematic footage above.

MapleStory 2 takes place before the events of MapleStory and before the rise of the black mage. MapleStory 2

Maplestory was originally a sidescrolling MMO with 2D graphics. Now, the leap for MapleStory 2 has been made and the game features fully rendered three dimensional worlds. Combat has also changed drastically. The game resembles a bit more of a top down beat ’em up.

With these changes in the game’s format, it’s likely that it will draw in a new breed of player altogether. Nexon has once again released a beloved new title. The Korean version of MapleStory 2 released on July 15th. Enjoy the trailer and hopefully more news on other regions will be given soon.
