Neil deGrasse Tyson Launches Video Game Kickstarter

There’s an unspoken rule that anyone can make a video game, and that rule is absolutely true. As long as you put your mind to it, have the right team, and have the capabilities (which is much easier nowadays), anyone can make a video game. This has led to many interesting projects getting made over the last few years. But what surely will go down as one of the most interesting is the one that’s made its way onto Kickstarter right now, Neil deGrasse Tyson’s Space Odyssey.

Why is this so interesting? Well, Neil deGrasse Tyson is a renown scientist. In fact, he’s not only renown for certain scientific discoveries in the field of astronomy, but he is known for his passion in defending science as a whole. This has led him to be a celebrity in entertainment and the internet as well as in the scientific community. So for him to want to make a video game? That’s pretty cool.

So what is his Space Odyssey game all about? Well, it’s a space exploration game, but one that is rooted in science. All advancements in the game are rooted in the scientific field, as is pretty much the rest of the game really.

But don’t worry, there are some sci-fi elements too, as you’ll set off to explore the universe, colonize planets, build robots for various uses, find aliens, discover and mine elements, everything a good exploration game will have. The trick though, is that everything is rooted in real science and chemistry and geology and so on.

Adding to the fun of those game, Neil deGrasse Tyson has brought in some all-star talent to help make his game work. This Includes a former DC Comics/Marvel Comics writer, an artist from the God of War series, and biggest of all, you! Yeah, your thoughts and ideas will help shape the game, and that’s exactly what Neil deGrasse Tyson wants. So, if this sounds like your kind of scientific adventure, go check out the Kickstarter now.

I am a writer, reader, dreamer, and believer that games and cartoons and comics aren’t a bad way to live. I am passionate about what I love, but do respect the opinions of others when they conflict with my own.

But if you don’t like Nintendo, you’re going down! lol
