MMORPGs are one of the most popular genres out there, and as such, they’re made by many all over the world, and the brought to the world via numerous platforms. One such platform is Steam, which has just gotten a popular European MMORPG known simply as Metin2. The game is available now and is free-to-play should you want to try it out. As for what the game is about, here is a bit of an overview.

The world of Metin2 is tied to the Metin stones, which have appeared and have caused great harm to the world of the Dragon God. Because of this, a great war has come, and to make matters worse, the beasts of the world have now been transformed into creatures of much greater power. Oh, and the dead are rising, and they want blood, lots of it.

You play as a warrior from one of the kingdoms, and it’s your job to not only defend your homeland, but also to fight those who would do it harm, whether it be man, beast, or demon. Massive battles await you, and only you can strike down evil from the land.

Metin2 features large scale PvE battles, but also features very personal 1v1 duels that’ll leave you wanting even more if you manage to win one. There are plenty of enemies to fight, including massive dragons, powerful demons, and so much more.

Your character is yours to build. Figure out what you want them to be, then raise them in level until they reach 120. Choose from Warriors, Ninjas, Shamans, Suras and Lycans as classes to play as. Plus, there are three kingdoms you can pledge your loyalty to: Shinsoo, Chunjo or Jinno. Pick a side, choose who you are, then fight alongside your fellow warrior to ensure your kingdom stays alive. So head on over to Steam and see if Metin2 is your kind of MMORPG.
