With World of Warcraft’s Legion expansion came several new raids, including this treacherous one known as The Nighthold. Currently, different guilds from around the world are competing to complete it, and right now, Method has caught up, taking world third for their kill of Elisande.
This challenge to complete the raid (which is being played on Mythic difficulty) has started with some impressive gaps from certain guilds, but those have since started to lessen. As Method catches up, it appears that unless a guild can pull out a unique and effective strategy to deal with the orc warlock Gul’dan, there’s no real way to predict who might take first for his kill.
Those who’ve played the raid likely know that Gul’dan is its final boss, and so this incredibly close competition draws close to its end. As for PvE, this raid also concludes tier 19. So this fight will be especially meaningful for our guilds. Serenity and Exorsus are ever so slightly leading above Method, having killed the boss Elisande before any other guilds. With the current standings, most players are actually currently occupied with Etraeus.
For those unfamiliar, World of Warcraft’s Legion expansion launched this summer, bringing an expanse of incredible new content to the game. From new raids and dungeons, to new classes and weapons, and numerous mechanics, players who haven’t seen the game in a while may find themselves surprised by the sheer volume of content present.
“And here it is, almost right on schedule, Method’s Elisande kill! 9/10 and just two and a half hours to see what Gul’dan is made of! World third.”
