The Elder Scrolls Online recently released their Morrowind expansion into closed beta on the megaservers. With the content due to be release fully on June 6th, ZeniMax is doing everything in their power to keep all eyes on Morrowind. Today, they released another character introduction. This time, players get to meet Sun-in-Shadow, the Argonian slave.
Though not all Morrowind inhabitants share the same views, slaves are still relatively common in the mushroom homes of the Telvanni Dark Elves. During your time in the Morrowind expansion, you will come across a few of these unfortunate souls which you will then be able to free through one of many quests. Sun-in-Shadow is somewhat like these slaves, but she wields a powerful magic. In a letter written by Magister Therana, Wizard-Lord of House Telvanni, we get to know the Argonian mage a bit more.
“Keep an eye on her. She has the magical aptitude, certainly. Whether she has the stomach for Telvanni politics, well, that remains to be seen.”
The slaver recognizes that Sun-in-Shadow is indeed a powerful mage with promise and seeks to turn her into a Telvanni puppet. Apparently, Sun-in-Shadow “nearly burned down Tel Naga,” the home of the Telvanni Master-Wizard. This was an accident, as she was only trying to warm up soup.
For those who might not know, the Telvanni are an ancient house of Dark Elves that strive for perfection in the form of knowledge. They keep people of other races slaves, believing the Dark Elves to be the only pure beings worthy of any sort of respect. They can and will, however, use people like Sun-in-Shadow for their own personal gain. Will Sun-in-Shadow fall into the Wizard-Lord’s trap? We will only know for sure if we play through the Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will be released in full on June 6th but those who preorder can play it on the megaservers right now. If you want more ESO, why not check out the last character introduction or our full Morrowind expansion review?
