It’s been fourteen long years since the first RPG in the Mario and Luigi series launched for the GBA, and now it’s coming back for Nintendo 3DS. Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions will be arriving before long.

This title takes all of the best aspects of the Mario games and brings them to the forefront for an incredible RPG experience. While the combat is turn based, it offers a more involved approach to what RPG fans might be used to.

This interesting title also creates an entirely new experience through Bowser’s Minions, which follows a side story alongside Mario and Luigi’s classic adventure. Fans of the game may remember Bowser landing himself in a sticky situation. This title will allow fans to take on the role of some of his most loyal followers as they attempt to work through that situation.

Superstar Saga has some of the most interesting world building and storytelling to ever hit the series, and to see those recreated in a way that at the very least simulates real 3D is a great addition to the series.

Fans will be able to dive back into the Beanbean Kingdom when Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser’s Minions launches on 3DS on October 6th, 2017. Not far off at all.

Some extended gameplay footage for this and many other games will be present at the Nintendo Treehouse Live event. Stay tuned to see what other titles get announced, and what new features they will bring to both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS.
