Lineage M Sets Daily Sales and Revenue Records

Lineage M, the mobile MMORPG by NCSoft, has hit some very impressive milestones as of late.

Starting of with sales, Lineage M previously average daily sales of 9 billion KRW since its launch. As of July 1st, the game managed to achieve an eye-watering 13 billion KRW, making it the highest amount in the history of mobile games in Korea ever.

On the day of its launch, the MMORPG boasted 2.1 million daily active users, and has managed to maintain 1.5 million users on a daily basis ever since. NCSoft’s chief publishing officer added:

“The performance of Lineage M was created with users. We will continue to develop and maintain the value of Lineage, which other games can not imitate.”

In recognition of this, Lineage M is preparing a commemorative event that will seek to raise the cumulative number of subscribers up to 7 million, in order to give something back to the users as a thanks for their support.

In total revenue, the South Korean online gaming company NCSoft has made 100 billion KRW, in just 12 days since Lineage M released. To put that into context, that’s around $87.2 million, as the success of the mobile version of the Korea’s most popular MMORPG continues to grow and grow.

Interestingly, one of the keys to Lineage M’s success is considered to be the age range of the players using the game. According to a survey by WiseApp Inc, over half of the users were in their 30s, with a decent percentage also in their 40s and 50s, showcasing a wide range of age groups playing the game.
