The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Expansions

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is already among the most expansive experiences Nintendo has developed, and even still that experience is about to get a lot bigger thanks to the addition of two new expansion packs.

The Legend of ZeldaWhile these DLC packs were announced prior to the game’s launch this is our first time getting an actual glimpse at them and their launch windows.

First, there’s The Master Trials which are set to launch at the end of this month. This expansion will allow players to wear new armor, participate in special trials in order to achieve new abilities, and track their movements around the map.

The second pack, which is titled Ballad of the Champions will launch during the holiday season and is supposed to be more story driven.

Examples of the armor included in the first pack are the Guardian Armor (not Guardians from Breath of the Wild but Guardians from Phantom Hourglass) as well as Majora’s Mask and the Korok Mask. For more confident players, Tingle’s costume will be made available for some reason.

In addition to these costumes, players will be able to track their two hundred most recent steps across the world of the biggest Zelda yet.
