Riot has dropped the latest patch for its popular MOBA, League of Legends. While Patch 7.12 does not add any new champions or major features, it does have a considerable amount of tweaks and changes to existing champions and items.

League of Legends Patch 7.12

The team at Riot have decided that the popularity and strength of Camille and Corki have cooled off enough that they can start to buff them back up. They’ve reduced the cooldown on Camille’s passive, and changed the ratio on Corki’s passive from 50/50 magic and physical damage to 80% magic damage. The idea there is that he has potential as a magic damage bot lane carry, something along the lines of Ziggs.

There’s big hopes for the new and improved Athene’s Unholy Grail, and as such, Ivern and Karma have had their shields reduced slightly. The Blood Earn Rate on Athene’s has been increased to 25% from 20%, and it now scales ability power with mana regeneration instead of scaling health regeneration.

A couple other champions are getting light buffs, including Jax. His W will now gain 50 bonus range for the empowered attack. Jhin’s ultimate damage is going back up a bit, as well as the scaling on his Q. Kindred’s also getting a bit more base damage, and the cost of Mounting Dead is down slightly.

Meanwhile, now that Malzahar has broken free from his support shackles, his damage on Q and R are both down. However, the team notes that using Quicksilver Sash or Mercurial Scimitar while suppressed by Malzahar’s ultimate will only cleanse the suppression. The damage from his beam will continue unless the target moves out of range.

In terms of tanks, Zac’s damage has been curtailed slightly, to account for his powerful sustainability and versatile control mechanics. No changes to Galio, who will continue to be a beast. Another major note is that Redemption’s active heal has been reduced at its base, and now scales with other heal and shield amplifiers. The team wanted to make the item more specific to Enchanter supports and less of a versatile choice.

The new VS. event will also begin during patch 7.12. To coincide with the event, Riot has also released two new skins for Riven and Yasuo.

Do check out the patch notes for the full details and changes on 7.12. And don’t forget to boot up the client and check out the changes in game.
