Riot is constantly reworking League of Legends, tweaking and revamping the basic game as well as its champions. For example, recent patches came with big changes for Armor Penetration, in the form of Lethality. Some champions, such as Leblanc, received such big changes that playing her is now completely different.
Those changes she received a couple of months back really affected her player base and completely switched the role of Leblanc. She used to be a strong assassin that could one-shot squishy targets with no problems, and comfortably take down some chunkier targets. Her combo was something that was quite easy to pull off after some practice and it effective in both early and late game. Riot recently decided to change her from an assassin into a deceiver. Now, she tricks her opponents with the clone from her ultimate and her damage relies on her passive “Sigil of Malice,” which triggers periodically. That passive is the reason why she isn’t able to one-shot targets so easily anymore. Leblanc players are pretty much showing their disappointment all over the League of Legends forums, although some players are satisfied that they won’t be picked off so easily anymore.
A player called DarthFantasia claims that the Leblanc rework was horrible for multiple reasons and should be reverted.
Although I understand their goal for the LeBlanc rework, I think it was a failure. New LeBlanc is just a clunkier version of old LeBlanc but she does even more damage and snowballs even harder but falls off even harder if the game goes past 25 minutes.
Some players have different opinions though, such as a summoner named AirKingNeo. He decided to share his own thoughts and why he thinks the rework was fair.
The problem with Old LeBlanc is she has 0 counterplay. While new Leblanc lacks that too for many matchups, both are broken. All the Leblanc rework did was give her counterplay, and then lower her weakness by giving her waveclear.
