Showing off a games progress is important to making sure fans know you’re not only serious about making a game, but serious about getting it to them. So for Kingdom of Loot, a game that was born via the Square Enix Collective and is heading to Steam, showing players that the game will be ready for Early Access soon is a must! And so, that’s what they did.
For those who don’t remember, Kingdom of Loot is a game made by fans of 16-Bit ARPG during their prime in the 90’s. They loved those games, and that genre so much, that a bunch of them got together to try and make one for themselves, and for others to enjoy. However, not content to just do what was done before, they’re aiming to make something even better than those RPG’s of the 90’s.
Their goal, is to make Kingdom of Loot bigger than those game, much more refined and detailed, and have even more depth. Not only that though, it’ll be a free-to-play game. Some of the featues that Kingdom of Loot will have include: tier based class system with six basic classes and additional twelve hybrid classes, customizable character skins, dungeon crawler style loot system, item based paperdolling, gear upgrading and crafting. Also, there’s an honour & reputation system, friendship & guild system, companions, event notification system, account wide stashing, real-time player ranking, 16-bit chip sound & music, singleplayer or co-op instances, cutscenes, gamepad support, runes system, instance based player housing, emotes, mounts, ships (air & sea), mini-games, modern HD screen resolution support, and a PvP Arena.
And to further show off the game, here’s a video they released showing another level that’s in development:
The team will no doubt be offering more info on Kingdom of Loot as it makes its way onto Steam. So stay tuned as we break it down the moment it arrives.
