ARMS hasn’t been out a month yet, but the high-energy boxing game from Nintendo has won a lot of people over. And much like another Nintendo game, Splatoon, ARMS is getting a bunch of free updates that will add more content and characters to the game. The first major update added a Spectator Mode. On the 12th, we’re getting the first “new” playable character in Max Brass. But the team is also teasing something else via some tweets.
First up, when ARMS 2.0 comes out, it’ll apparently bring a Records feature to the game. This will track everything you do in the game, and then show you what you’ve done. This includes how many times you’ve used certain characters, certain gloves, and more. The records will go back to your last 100 matches, so it should help give you a good estimate as to what you have and haven’t been doing.

The other reveal though is more of a mystery. The tweet below states that this is a “notice” of something that could be happening. The image shows ARMS character Helix attacking a spherical item in the game. When it breaks, it reveals the mask of Hedlok. And when Helix touches it, the mask goes on him.

Hedlok of course is the mysterious boss of the game that you fight in Grand Prix mode from Level 4 and up. The mask possesses/takes over the mind of the fighter it’s on, and adds 4 arms to the mix to give them a 6-arms combo of absolute devastation. This makes him very tough to beat no matter who he’s possessing.
Could this mean that players will get the chance to temporarily become Hedlok in matches? Let us know your thoughts on these in the comments below.
