Following the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the release of Master of Orion II: Battle of Anteres, WG Labs and NGD Studios have announced a new update for Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars.
The large, free update’s primary goal is to bring support for modification to the game. Going forward, players can use the Steam Workshop to create, share and install popular fashion, resulting in a huge adjustment to how the game is played. These updates will release gradually, and will also feature further improvements in the game’s AI, tactical combat, user interface and mechanics. The full list of changes, including alterations to controls, cinematic and animation improvements, as well as re-balancing the tactical combat can all be found here.
In order to update Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars, just run the game and the process will begin automatically. This update opens the door to new players to see for themselves what adventures Orion has to offer.
As mentioned earlier, with the celebration of MOO 2, there will be discounts available to all Master of Orion packages. This includes both Collector’s and Standard editions of Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars, as well as the three vintage games in the series.
