Studio Wildcard have been working tirelessly on their survival adventure game ever since its announcement, and following the steam early access in June there has been several patches and content add-ons in preparation for its release later this year.
A key feature of the next Ark: Survival Evolved update will come as pleasing news particularly to Xbox One players, focusing on bringing the version’s resolution up to speed. Thanks to ongoing optimisations, dino hunters on Xbox One will now be able to enjoy the game in 720p HD, with the pixelated UI being bumped up to 1080p. Studio Wildcard lead developer Jeremy Stieglitz confirmed the news on Twitter, stating “I’m happy to say this week’s Xbox update full 720p 3D rendering, & 1080p UI! Thursday’s gonna be crazy, sleep’ll be but a memory.”
The update is set to be revealed on Thursday September 1st via the official Ark: Survival Evolved Twitch channel. The stream will take place at 10am PST, so be sure to tune in on Thursday morning. Following the stream, on 2-5 September Studio Wildcard will be showcasing new playable content for both PC and Xbox One at PAX West. The exhibition will take place at Washington State Convention Center in downtown Seattle, WA.
