The new Hearthstone expansion has finally been released! You can now log into the game and get Mean Streets of Gadgetzan card packs.
The truce between the three most important crime families in Gadgetzan has ended. Now, mayhem is being spread all over the city. The Grimy Goons, the Kabal and the Jade Lotus’s families all together have 132 new cards at your disposal, each of them encouraging you to choose their side. This new expansion features a new game board, showing parts of the city, from Grime Street to the docks.
In these 132 new cards, there are 9 with a new mechanic. Tri-class cards. These cards, as the name suggest, can be used by three different classes. Each crime family will have its Boss as a Legendary tri-class minion, along with family members as tri-class cards as well. Here are the three Bosses:
The Grimy Goons family features the two-headed ogre boss Don Han’Cho. A tri-class Legendary minion that can be used by Hunters, Warriors and Paladins. This family’s specialty is weapons and giving buffs to minions not yet played, who are still either in the player’s hand, or deck.
Then there’s the Kabal, the magicians of Gadgetzan. Using illegal magic and potions, this family can be joined by the Mages, Priests and Warlocks. The family’s boss is Kazakus and, although a 3/3 for 4, his Battlecry compensates for his weakness. “Battlecry: If your deck has no duplicates, create a custom spell.” An interesting new mechanic introduced to the game, creating spells. If you’re curious about how this works, see this video showing the card in gameplay.
And finally, there’s Jade Lotus. This family welcomes the Druid, Rogue and Shaman classes. The boss is Aya Blackpaw. a 5/3 for 6, that when enters the battlefield and dies, it Summons a Jade Golem. Whenever a new Jade Golem is summoned, it will be stronger than the one before. There will be several cards which summon this minion, so the more cards you play with that ability, the stronger the Jade Golems become.
Choose the family you’d like to join forces with, and help them conquer Gadgetzan! If you’re in a rush to get your hands on the new cards, buy packs of cards on their site, or play some games, complete quests and buy them in-game for 100 gold each.
