If you’ve played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, chances are you’ve played the card game known as Gwent. Due to popular demand, Gwent is receiving a standalone version named Gwent: The Witcher Card Game (GWENT).
Registrations for the GWENT Closed Beta are now open. The Closed Beta will launch sometime in September 2016 for both Xbox One and PC, but also on PlayStation 4 at a later date. To register for the GWENT Closed Beta, visit its official website, and click on the ‘REGISTER FOR BETA’ button. Only an e-mail is required.
GWENT will be free-to-play with optional in-game purchases. The micro-transactions are assumed to be those typically found in CCGs, such as packs and cosmetics. As the game’s development progresses, additional content will be introduced. CD Projekt Red fully intends for GWENT to become a fully-fledged card game.
The basic rules of GWENT can be found on its website. The game focuses on creating combos, outwitting your opponents, and gathering points. Card game players seeking for a new and unique experience are highly recommended to try out GWENT.
