The MMORPG Guardians of Ember has long stated that their game would feature six playable classes. However, not all of them were available when the game arrived on Steam Early Access. But now, the sixth and final piece of the class puzzle has arrived in the form of the Dark Knight. No, not THAT Dark Knight, a Dark Knight class. Now that this class is in the game, players will actually be able to help the development team work out any and all problems and flaws that the class may have.
As for what the Dark Knight is and can do, the class of character was born from one who was grief-stricken over what happened in Olyndale, the main city in the game, that grief turned the person into a fierce warrior, one who would use black magic and poisonous attacks to tear enemies apart. As such, the class can actually injure entire groups with a poison strike, or, can actually recover their own health by taking it from others. No matter which spell they use, they are a dangerous threat in battle.
Now, there is a cost to the class, even though they’re brilliant and deadly fighters, they’re very much lone wolves, they prefer to fight alone, as they only rely on themselves for their power, as such, in a team setting, they may not be as beneficial as you might hope. For example, they can’t heal allies, only themselves.
The team is looking forward to seeing what players think of the Dark Knight class, and the team knows that its through showing it through Steam Early Access that the right amount of balance can be achieved in Guardians of Ember.
Says CEO Patrick Streppel: “We know that balancing this new class is crucial because nothing is more frustrating than something that overpowers all the others.
