Nongunz

What if there was a dark game that had Roguelike elements and yet was a complete mystery as to what it actually was? Well, that game is here in the form of Nongunz. This title is described as a “nihilistic action platformer” that has you traversing a dark graveyard before going into a dungeon that is vast, deep, and will always be different every time you play the game. Plus, you’ll be put into epic shootouts that’ll get you high scores that’ll actually help you progress through the game.

Confusing? Yes, it is! But that’s ok because it just adds to the fun and the mystery. As you play, you’ll get guns and axes that you can use to cut through waves of enemies. These enemies are nightmarish beasts that will test your desire to want to continue because you know it’ll get more dark and gothic. But, if you get the guts to fight them, don’t just kill them, do it with style. Lots of styles.

Why? Because the better you do, the more points you get, and the more points you get, the deeper the story goes. As the farther you get into Nongunz, you’ll meet some very unique characters that’ll inhabit the graveyard outside the dungeon. You’ll meet caretakers, monsters, martyrs, and more. Who knows who else might show up!

Again, the dungeon itself is procedurally generated, so every time you go into the dungeon, it will be different. Different layout, different monsters to fight, and new ways to get your score to get even higher.

But what is the mystery of Nongunz? Will you be able to figure out what it all means? Or will you get lost in the over-the-top combat that you’ll try and do better and better in? You’ll find out if you get Nongunz, which is available on PC, Mac, and Linux via Steam.
