The team at Ubisoft are very good about getting content put into their games after launch. Moreso, they know how updates are vital to keeping a game balanced, fair, and fun. A little while back, they revealed to gamers what the plan was for updates for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, and today, they’re taking the first step down that path with the Title Update 5. This update includes a brand new gameplay mode, along with bug fixes for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

The update is free, and players will be alerted that the download is available. Once it’s downloaded, all the content and fixes will be in place. It will be a 7.8 GB download for PC, and a 8.8 download for consoles.

So what is Tier 1 Mode? Well, Ubisoft didn’t detail it much, but gamers have been figuring it out. Apparently, it’s a mode that starts once you hit the level cap at 30. You’ll be giving a tier of 50, and then have to complete tasks and challenges until you yourself are at Tier 1. Points received for this mode are meant to improve your character in this mode alone, it does not crossover into the main game mode

Also with this update, the second season of the Live Season Challenges will be coming. This season will have a new focus as well as new challenges, and yes, new rewards. So you’ll definitely want to take part in this.

Moving onto the bug fixes, there have been some for all version of the game, including a new indicator above the mini-map that’ll tell you how you’ve been detected. Numerous gameplay bugs including use of drones, damage to vehicles, gun issues, and more were fixed.

Many PC issues were fixed, including issues with controllers, lighting problems, pop-up windows and more. Be sure to see what else was fixed in the full Patch Notes list, then go and begin your journey to be Tier 1 in Ghost Recon: Wildlands!
