Recently we ran into a rather intriguing post related to Gamevil’s mobile MMORPG title Royal Blood. The Chinese site (d.cn) mentions a possible US reach for this Korean title.
Gamevil is a well-known Korean developer that has been recently known for its cooperation with Bluehole Studio on Devilian Mobile. They are also responsible for ArcheAge Begins and Dragon Blaze – and a myriad of other mobile titles. Royal Blood is claimed to bring a whole new mobile MMORPG experience, which is definitely good news since we have seen plenty of failing titles that were way too P2W to enjoy.
According to the Chinese source, Gamevil recently hinted at the US Unity Developer Conference that they plan to reach out to a global market. If the developer manages to keep the quality standards of Devilian Mobile, we can expect Royal Blood to be a rather amazing title to get our hands on. The game is claimed to hold elements such as a 100 v 100 PvP mode and other large-scale endgame content. It is no secret that the MMORPG industry could definitely use some innovation, but not many people would expect a mobile MMORPG to bring a significant change.
Currently, pre-registration is open for Devilian Mobile, and from the looks of it, Gamevil clearly knows how to create an addictive game. If the company really has plans to bring a new wave of Korean mobile MMORPGs to the west, we might just end up trusting the industry once again. Royal Blood is also claimed to have a firm background story, if our translation attempts are correct, and we all know how mobile developers often completely ignore the hunger for complex story-driven titles of millions of gamers all around the world.
We will hopefully manage to obtain more information about Royal Blood and its possible arrival to the western regions, so stay tuned for more!
