Video games are a global market. Sure, you mainly hear about sales in the US, Europe, and Japan, but make no mistake, video games have reach all over the world. And by extension, video games are made in countries all over the world. Over the recent years, initiatives have been happening to help bring more and more games from all over the world to places where people can enjoy them. Gamescom is one of those places, and the upcoming event is proving that by having several Brazilian Indie Game Companies present at the show.

How many? 13 different companies from Brazil are coming to Gamescom, many of them will be bringing their games to the convention to woo potential publishers, investors, and of course, gamers. In a press release, a trailer was even given out to show off what you can expect from the groups of developers coming to the show, you might be surprised by the details and creativity of some of the games you see.

Four of these games will be shown off in the Indie Game Arena, Necrosphere, Heavy Metal Machines, Starlit Archery Club, and No Heroes Here. Now, as for the rest of the games and their developers, they’ll have their own booth at Gamescom in Hall 3.2, Booth A-013G.

If you’re curious as to how the indie game market in Brazil boomed to such a degree that they get featured in Gamescom, it was a product of hard work, dedication, and a desire to show off their game. In fact, it’s in Brazil that the largest indie game event in Latin America is held via BIG Festival. And whole divisions and companies have been created and dedicated to getting Brazilian indie game groups out into the spotlight of the rest of the world.

Gamescom takes place August 22nd-26th.

I am a writer, reader, dreamer, and believer that games and cartoons and comics aren't a bad way to live. I am passionate about what I love, but do respect the opinions of others when they conflict with my own. But if you don't like Nintendo, you're going down! lol
