The latest game update for Guild Wars 2 brings a number of changes to several different aspects of the game.
Primarily, a number of bug fixes have been introduced that have plagued the game as of late. These include fixing shoulder-armor positions for characters that use the Magic Carpet Glider, as well as taking care of a bug that caused Sport Sunglasses lenses to not display from both sides, and the frames have now been made more dyeable. Also, an issue has been resolved in which player minions, pets and clones would scale their states based on the fractal scale.
There has also been several changes to the Ranger, Revenant, Thief and perhaps most predominantly, the Warrior classes within Guild Wars 2. For example, as far as the Warrior is concerned, a few of the under-performing weapons have been addressed, mainly the rifle and the torch. The torch, which is considered a more aggressive off-hand weapon, doesn’t hold the desired pressure to warrant wielding it, therefore additional burning output has been added to make it more of an option competitively. As for the rifle, like the torch, it lacks the pressure needed to be at its most effective, particularly when trying to kill enemies when Volley and Gun Flame were mitigated, therefore Aimed Shot damage has been increased.
As far as PvP is concerned, a custom arena map for 2v2 battles, along with a new PvP lobby and automated tournaments will all be added as part of the June 2017 Competitive Feature Pack. Daily achievements will also be rewarded for winning matches, participating in a PvP tournament and winning with a profession having been removed.
