For those who have been playing on the public testing realm servers on the Blizzard shooter Overwatch, you’ll have more than likely been playing as or against the long-awaited hero Doomfist.

The latest addition to the growing roster is bound to be one that is subject to nerfs in the future. Like many other characters, he has a move that cannot be escaped from; the Rocket Punch. In fact, players have already noticed an early nerf of sorts, with his range being shrunk from 30 metres to 25.

Fear not, enemies of Doomfist. By watching the gif below, you’ll find a rather amusing way of putting a stop to his Rocket Punch. As you can see, McCree pulls off his ultimate, and after the player in control turns on his sitting emote, which causes Doomfist’s rocket to fly right over the player and therefore leaving him open for attack whilst having to recharge the Rocket Punch. This technique isn’t limited to just McCree either, with it working on the majority of the other characters too. Tank heroes such as D.Va and Reinhardt are too big to miss, unfortunately.

The release date of Doomfist into Overwatch has yet to be confirmed. With the Summer Games event allegedly arriving in August, its more than likely that his launch will coincide with that. Perhaps with this handy tip you’ll get a headstart when you come face-to-face with Doomfist on his eventual release.
