Friday The 13th is one of the most legendary horror franchises in history, and so when it was revealed to be coming to the video game world in an interesting way, players were surprised. The game started out kind of clunky, but it has since grown into a very competent title, one that fully respects the franchise, as its brought in new locations and characters that have really fleshed out the game, and now, a new update seeks to improve the title even more.
For those who don’t know, Friday The 13th The Game puts five players in a match, four players are the camp counselors who are simply trying to stay alive, and must flee the “killing ground” or find a way to outsmart Jason. The fifth player is Jason, who must find and kill every other player in the match in order to win. This simple yet effective concept has kept many players coming back for more and more matches.
Which is actually one of the biggest updates here, for the next update will bring offline play to the title. You see, the only way to play it before was with four players online (not including yourself), but, if you’re trying to learn the game, this might not have been the easiest way to do it. But now, you can play with bots, and learn the mechanics and the levels so that when you go online you’re getting completely destroyed as you try and remember all that you can and cannot do.
The team are also increasing the level cap of the game to 150, which will allow both counselors and Jason players to unlock new things like clothing and kills, with more reveals coming soon.
And that’s just the tip of the iceberg, check out the post via the link above to get all the details, and be sure to play the update when it arrives on the 18th.
