With Fortnite recently releasing a battle royale mode rife with similarities with PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, it’s understandable that fans would want to see the comparisons of each game’s map.
So much so, that one Reddit user has posted a proportionate map of each, and the image below clearly show that PUBG’s map is quite a ways bigger. Fortnite developers Epic Games had confirmed recently that the battle royale mode had a playable area of 5.5km, and Reddit user MoeMetA has posted a side by side image of how each map looks in comparison:
MoeMetA also explained that it is not an accurate scale comparison, but also offered the following explanation:
The picture above shows the running times basically, so if you were to run the entire map on fortnite, that time would take the amount of time it takes to run 3km in pubg.
Meanwhile, PUBG developers Bluehole has revealed the release date of the game on the Xbox One, which will arrive on December 12th as part of the Xbox One Preview program. Following that, we will see the 1.0 version release later in that month on PC, whilst each version will have their own roadmaps, though they will be worked on simultaneously.
Fortnite is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and we don’t have to wait much longer to double up on the battle royale experience when PUBG kicks into gear next month.
