Epic Games Fortnite years ago, but yet it went dark soon after, then it went through a long testing process via an alpha. But now, it’s releasing via a paid Early Access on July 25th. To celebrate, the team released not only a pre-E3 trailer, but also went into heavy detail about what you can expect from the title. You know, aside from epic action and the ability to build the craziest forts you’ve ever wanted to make.

In Fortnite, the world has been taken over by monsters, and now the remaining humans have to rise up to fight back. But to do that, they need to be crafty, and be able to not only be able to make weapons to take out the monsters, but build forts that’ll deter them from attacking you. The team at Epic Games notes that the idea of fort making is something that transcends media, as it’s been in numerous parts of our culture from movies, to shows, and of course, video games.

But they also note that there’s a lot of strategy involved in Fortnite. You need to know when to just look for items to use, and when to spend your resources to get things you need. The world is vast, and procedurally generated, so you need to explore to find things to help you build, or else you’ll be in trouble really quick.

Plus, there’s a lot of variety and customization here that players will love. You’ll be able to not only make a large assortment of guns and melee weapons, but also be able to craft forts that can be defensive, offensive, or custom built to suit your ideas.

Oh, and your characters can be several different classes, each with their own special skills and weapons proficiencies. Fortnite comes to PC, Mac, Xbox One, and PS4 on July 25. But if you pre-order a Founder’s Pack, you can get in early on July 21st.
