For the First Time, Paragon is Having an Exhibition Tournament

Paragon is hosting their first exhibition tournament, which is currently being organized while they search for participants. Yesterday, an announcement popped up on the Epic Games website where the Paragon team went into detail explaining all the rules, dates, and more information about the upcoming tournament.

Four teams will be involved in the exhibition tournament, two from the North America qualifier, one from the Eastern Europe qualifier, and one from the West Europe qualifier. These qualifiers are hosted by the community Tournament Organizers in collaboration with Epic Games, who will assist with organizing the event.

The tournament is offering $15,000 to one of these competing teams. The Exhibition Tournament will occur from August 2nd to August 6th, and will be held in Raleigh, North Carolina, where the Epic Games HQ also resides. The event will stream live on the Paragon official Twitch, YouTube and Facebook channels from August 4 – 6.

The rules of the tournament are somewhat easy to grasp. The most basic rule is that qualifying teams must have 5 players along with one substitute player. Qualifying teams can’t participate in multiple qualifiers and must decide on one. In order to be eligible, teams must hail from countries in North America, the European Union, the United Kingdom, or from Switzerland, Norway, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, or Kazakhstan.

Each team that wins the qualifier will get $2,500 in prize money as well as paid travel to North Carolina for the Exhibition Tournament. The participants must also be over 18 years old. For full rules and details on this upcoming tournament, see Paragon’s official documentation.
