Warframe is a sci-fi third-person shooter from Digital Extremes. The game has quite a loyal following of fans and so it was no surprise that a couple thousand people showed up to the Warframe Devstream #92 earlier today. During the stream, community producer Rebecca Ford showed off the newest warframe, which will be added into the game soon.
The frame’s name is Harrow, though most players know him as “Priest Frame”. He is designed to resemble a sort of cleric or priest and supports allies through a series of accuracy-centric abilities. Today, we got a description for each ability straight from Ford’s mouth. They are as follows:
Ability 1: the first ability stops time for enemies in a wave that spreads out from Harrow.
Ability 2: this ability sacrifices Harrow’s shield in order to give reload and fire rate buffs as well as additional healing to nearby allies.
Ability 3: this is a charged ability that summons a specter which restores energy every time Harrow lands a headshot. This becomes very easy to accomplish when paired with the first ability. The longer the third ability is charged the more energy is restored.
Ability 4: the fourth and final ability gives Harrow full invulnerability. Any damage taken while in this mode is turned into bonus critical chance on headshots once the duration for the ability is depleted.
Passive: Harrow’s passive gives him 2 times overshields.
Harrow seems to be a relatively well thought-out frame that the community is excited to see implemented. While the developers have offered an ETA for his release, odds are it will be relatively soon, and you can be sure that MMOexaminer will cover the news once it happens.
