First Assault is Free Until July 21

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex – First Assault Online is an upcoming free-to-play online first-person shooter video game developed by South Korean developer Neople and published by Nexon.

Quite a lengthy name this game has, as you imagined it is also set in the Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex universe. That alone is enough to pull quite a few anime fans, but will that be enough for the game to stay alive? Well, that’s a question for another day, today we have another topic.

First Assault is free from Thursday, July 14 and running through Thursday, July 21, on both Steam and the Nexon Global Platform. This is a preparation for the upcoming Open Beta of First Assault, so the developers need to stress test the servers and systems, so they’re inviting all of you to help them. If you ever wanted to become a part the elite force of cybernetically enhanced operatives, aka super cyber soldiers, this is your chance to do so. Fighting terrorists on the streets of a futuristic Japan seems interesting by itself, so it’s worth trying.

The game already has a player base, so this is probably the best chance to try the game, it is free of charge after all!
