Final Fantasy XIV is getting a big expansion soon, in the form of Stormblood. And in a special livestream, that you can see below in Japanese, Final Fantasy XIV producer Naoki Yoshida and community manager Toshio Murouchi talked about the expansion, as well as what is coming with it.
For example, Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood is getting a Collector’s Edition, and the two broke down what’ll be in it. Aside from the very special box cover art, there will be a Zenos yae Galvus Figure, an Art Book, a logo sticker, and a map of Eorzea.
Also, there will be in-game bonuses for those who get the Collector’s Edition. Such as Syldra Mount, a Wind-up Bartz Minion, the Red mage can get a Chicken Knife, and a few other trinkets along the way. Finally, if you pre-order the Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Collector’s Edition, you’ll get Early Access to the game.
All you have to do is pre-order the title, then enter the pre-order code you get in return to register for the early access. It starts on Friday, June 16, 2017, so you still have time to get your pre-orders in.
However, this is one catch for getting early access to the game. Mainly, players will need to complete certain Heavensward quests. You can easily get through what you need to though with the gap between now and the early access though. The Pre-orders are set to start on January 24th.
The Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood Collector’s Edition will be available for $199.99. For those who want a more toned down version of the game, there’s also a Standard Edition, and a Complete Edition, which offers plenty of content including past expansions, at a much lower price.
