When it comes to online an title, there are many different modes you can usually play in. This is especially true for the likes of fighting games and online shooter titles. There’s simple matches, free-for-alls, Team Deathmatches, Capture The Flag, etc. In Overwatch, one of the more recent editions was their Ranked mode, known as Competitive Play, which is actually divided up into seasons.
Now naturally, as with any game mode, there’s bound to be tweaks and fixes that to be done. But for one player, this system is incredibly broken. Meet VclScore, who posted on Battle.net about the Ranked system, mainly how it’s broken. In Ranked play, the better you perform, the higher your rank, and the more SP you earn. However, if you lose, your rank starts to fall, and your SP goes down. Makes sense right?
But the problem here is that after VclScore won a match against a team that was ranked higher than him, he only got 2 SP in return. Here’s the video proof:
Now, before you say anything about how this matters, its worth noting that when he’s lost a match, he lost 30+ SP. Yet, when he beats a team that Blizzard determines is a higher rank, he only gets 2 SP for a reward? That doesn’t sound that balanced.
A lot of the Battle.net community made fun of him because of the “passion” of his post, yet many others noted this problem. One even said this was why he gave up Competitive Play this season, because it’s still incredibly unbalanced.
