Fan Makes Overwatch Rap Video

The fanbases of video games are what keep them not only alive in many ways, but what makes the games even more fun. But there’s also those fans who go the extra mile to make the game even more special. Some do special drawings of the game, some make mods for the title to share with everyone, and in the case of Overwatch, someone made a rap battle.

This comes from ThatPunchKid, who hand animated an entire video featuring many characters from Overwatch, including Genji, Hanzo, Tracer, Widowmaker, D.Va, and more. Now, while the animations were hand done, he took the voices from the game and modified them so that they could say the lines of the rap. It’s not the cleanest (as in quality) sound mix, but it gets the job done, and some of the¬†lines are pretty funny.

ThatPunchKid noted that this took him a while to make, and that’s understandable, but in a way, that’s what makes it even better. Because we know it took him time to try and make this as quality as possible.

The Reddit community he posted it on were very impressed with the video. They loved the characters he used, the lines of the rap, the animations, and the references to the memes that have been made for Overwatch over time. It just goes to show that while there is a lot of in-fighting within the community, they can appreciate beauty when they see it.

So now the challenge has been laid down. Do you think you can make something to top this video? If so, go and make it! And then spread it around, we might just write about it here if it’s good enough.
