Kickstarter allows a wide freedom when it comes to the things you can make. For video games, this is especially freeing as it means that any genre, whether classic or fresh, can be built, which allows for some interesting titles to be made. Take for example the point-and-click adventure games like Myst, or The Talos Principle. Those types of games brought adventure gaming to a whole new level, and now, they’re the inspiration behind a current Kickstarter project called Epitasis.

This exploration and puzzle game is very much like those, but with its own flair and style naturally. You are the player who has found an ancient portal. Naturally, you decide to go into that portal, and when you do, you find yourself in the remnants of an ancient world, one that was made by aliens. Curious as to what happened, you decide to explore, and will do whatever it takes to solve the mysteries of this lost civilization.

The world of Epitasis is beautiful, and its filled with both wilderness and amazing structures that’ll truly make you wonder who made these things, and what happened to them. Scattered amongst the wreckage are machines that are still usable, as well as puzzles that you need to solve. However, don’t think that’ll you be guided to one puzzle, then another, and so on. Instead, Epitasis makes it so you can explore the worlds (yes, we said worlds) at your own pace, giving you even more freedom.

The man behind the game has been working at this for some time. He’s wanted to make it for so long that any time he had flashes of visions of what he wanted he did what he could to make it real. He’s seeking $12,000 for the project, and the project will be up until August 19th. So, if you have the need to explore alien worlds and solve puzzles, then head out and pledge to this Kickstarter.
