The Elder Scrolls Online is an MMORPG set in the universe of the popular single-player Elder Scrolls games. In game, Crown Crates are available for purchase with real money and have the chance of giving out some very rare items.
Having just retired the Wild Hunt Crown Crates, the Elder Scrolls Online showed off the new crate theme: Dwarven. Any Elder Scrolls fan would know that the word “Dwarven” is synonymous with gold-coloured gears and odd contraptions so it makes sense that the Dwarven Crown Crates are offering players a variety of intricate machine mounts.
In addition to the 6 unique mounts and 3 re-coloured mounts available, there is also an array of of new Superior, Epic, and Legendary items as well. For a full list every new item available, be sure to check out the Elder Scrolls Online forum thread on the subject.
When most people hear the word “Dwarven” they usually lean towards the short, hairy, axe-wielding dwarven races of other fantasy properties. In reality, the Dwarves (or Dwemer) in the Elder Scrolls games, are actually a race of elves. In game lore, they are said to be a very advanced society that lived underground and busied themselves by working on their machinery. Legend goes that the Dwarves once held the heart of a god in the depths of their underground home and attempted to use the heart to make themselves immortal. Their plan did not work and instead their attempt is said to have made them disappear entirely, leaving only their empty underground halls and roaming Dwarven machines behind.
With history like that, who wouldn’t be excited for the Dwarven Crown Crate season? If you’re interested in getting your hands on some of these crates for your chance at rare loot, they are purchasable in the Crown Store in-game on all platforms.
