Anyone who plays the Elder Scrolls-themed MMORPG, The Elder Scrolls Online, is probably well aware by now that there is a massive bit of DLC coming to the game in the form of Morrowind. Here at MMOExaminer, we’ve covered this DLC before so if you want more details, make sure you check out some of our previous articles. The DLC actually has a closed beta that begins today.
In a tweet posted earlier today, The Elder Scrolls Online announced that the Morrowind PTS beta begins today, but only those who have been invited can actually get in. Those lucky few should have received an email in their inbox alerting them to the fact that they have been accepted into the beta.
Earlier this month, on the official Elder Scrolls Online website, an announcement was made, detailing what players can expect to find in the beta. According to the post, “The closed beta will allow you to experience the entirety of ESO: Morrowind and Update 14″ which includes the following:
- The brand new story and zone, Vvardenfell
- The new PvP game mode Battlegrounds
- The new Warden class
- The new Trial, the Halls of Fabrication
Of course, with any major update, there will likely be quite a few crashes and bugs, so if you’ve been selected to take part in the beta make sure you keep that in mind. Patience is key when dealing with betas, but we all know that. The Morrowind DLC is likely one of the most anticipated bits of content that The Elder Scrolls Online has put out to date. Banking on the value of nostalgia, the DLC will take players through familiar areas from the 2002 release of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. While the beta starts today, players all over the world on all platforms will be able to play it on June 6th.
