When a major expansion hits an MMORPG, there can sometimes be confusion as to what’s happening, what you can do, and what you can’t do.. For The Elder Scrolls Online, they just added a huge new area via fan-favorite land Vvardenfell, with the Morrowind expansion. And with loads of new things to do it can be overwhelming for someone who may be new to the game to get there, get around, and just have fun. So, the team at ZeniMax have made a Basics Guide to help you get your footing in this Morrowind expansion.

For example, if you just got into The Elder Scrolls Online and created a new character, you’ll actually be taken to Vvardenfell automatically, where you can begin your tutorial and learn how the game works. But, if you have an existing character, you’ll have to go to Seyda Neen Wayshrine to get there. Once you arrive, the team suggests you talk to some of the locals to get your bearings. There’s even a prologue quest that you can do at the inn to show why you’re in Vvardenfell, and it’ll also give you a cool trinket as a completion reward.

OK, so you’re on the island, what do you do now? Why, explore it of course! The Elder Scrolls Online gives you many ways to travel around the island, including just plain walking through it, or riding through it on a mount. There’s also many wayshrines that you can activate and use to fast travel back to areas you’ve been to, so be on the lookout for that.

As you travel, you’ll come across many different things, like villages with people who might need your help, or, if you go off the main road, you might find some unexpected things. Remember, this is the home of the Dark Elves, so there’s bound to be some weird stuff.

And of course, there’s dungeons to explore, PVP Battleground and much more. So dive on into the newest expansion of The Elder Scrolls Online and see what awaits you.
