The Elder Scrolls Online recently debuted one of their biggest and most personal DLC packages yet in the form of Homestead. Homestead allows players to literally buy their own homes in the land of Tamriel, then decorate it to their heart’s content. At first, the content only released on PC, but now, it has officially arrived on PS4 and Xbox One.
What makes Homestead so appealing isn’t just the fact that you can own a home, or make it your own, it’s the amount of detail that is prevalent here. For example, there are 39 homes you can buy (with either gold or crowns). Once you purchase a stead, there are over 2,000 home furnishings, decorations, and more you can buy or craft to make the place your own.
There’s also a very detailed home editor so that you can make sure that every item, piece of furniture, or carpet is perfectly placed where you want it to be. Plus, there’s a “home previewing” option where you can see your house as you decorate it so you’ll know if it’s just right, or just wrong.
As with all homes, you’ll want to keep it safe by keeping out those who would ruin it. Thus, you are able to customize who have access to your home and who can’t enter at all. If you want it to be a literal safe haven where you, and only you, can enter, you have that power now.
The homes weren’t the only thing added to Elder Scrolls Online on this update. There are also Master Crafting Writs and four new Crafting Motifs in the forms of Ebony, Mazzatun, Ra Gada, andSilken Ring. There have been changes made to Cyrodiil vendors as well as improved rewards for Cyrodiil town quests.
Elder Scrolls Online wants to give you something special with Homestead, so check it out and see what kind of home you can make in the game.
