DOTA 2 Introduces Adventure Mode

The immensely popular DOTA 2 has introduced some changes to the game, which have been detailed to reveal information on Adventure Mode, new heroes and more.

The introduction of Adventure Mode will be pleasing to fans, who can find the new mode in Act 1 and Act 2. Players will start and will obtain more lives, with enemies having less health and unable to deal as much damage as normal. There will be a few things disabled in this mode however, with star rewards, achievements and Artifacts all being left out. Also, on the subject of Artifacts, there will now be an increased number in the drop rate of a number of Artifacts. The drops in the game will now also see that players receive them in this session and it won’t be a duplicate before switching to a random distribution.

From the pool of available heroes, nine more have been added, with Abaddon being removed. A new currency has also been added, in the form of Artifact Coins. These are persistent between play sessions, where they will be consumed in order to activate Artifacts that you already have. These are rewarded to those who complete zones, and are found as drops from enemies. Those that are found during a game aren’t under any Act restrictions, and won’t require any cost either.

DOTA 2, the free-to-play multiplayer online battle arena game is now available on PC.
