When it comes to Nintendo franchises, The Legend of Zelda stands as one of, if not the, best of the bunch. Its dedication to making each adventure unique and special has made it a wonder to play over the years, especially as technology has advanced enough to let it grow into new and fantastic ways. The latest game, Breath of the Wild, is so beautiful and wondrous that many have labeled it a masterpiece, and have even gone so bold as to call it one of the greatest video games ever made.

But that doesn’t mean that players don’t have problems with it. In fact, despite it being called a “masterpiece,” many reviewers have noted how there are some flaws in the game. With the arrival of the first DLC for the game, “The Master Trials,” players on Reddit are once again voicing some of their discontent with the game.

Easily one of the biggest complaints that remains to this day is the weather. While the idea of changing and unpredictable weather is brilliant, and is a sight to behold, rain is now the enemy of all players:

“If I’m trying to get somewhere that requires climbing, I simply can’t go there and have to wait. Also, lighting is annoying as well.”

Another big questionable act is the storyline. The freedom of Breath of the Wild makes it so that the overarching storyline of defeating Ganon can happen at your own pace. But there’s a lot of hidden story throughout the game via memories you can reclaim. However, these are optional to get, so you can actually beat the game with only getting one memory. That rubs people the wrong way as they like living through the story, not going around chasing it. Other complaints include the number of shrines in the game, the variety of enemies you face, difficulty of dungeons, the fact that your weapons break, the music, the inventory system, and more.

I am a writer, reader, dreamer, and believer that games and cartoons and comics aren't a bad way to live. I am passionate about what I love, but do respect the opinions of others when they conflict with my own. But if you don't like Nintendo, you're going down! lol
